“Take what you can from your dreams, make them real as real as anything…”

-Dave Matthews

Andy R.G. is an Americana-soul singer-songwriter with a sound that's both polished and raw. His music is built on a foundation of percussive acoustic guitar and a vocal delivery that spans a full spectrum of timbres, from soaring highs to sultry whispers. His original songs are often described as intricate yet simple, with catchy compositions that stick with you long after the music stops. Additionally, his live shows and recordings feature an infrequent but beautiful whistle solo, and he is known for his diverse repertoire of covers, from the heartfelt ballads of Bruce Springsteen to the soulful blues of John Mayer, all performed with a little dirt and grit.

"We were never made to run forever. We were just meant to go long enough. To find what we were chasing after"…”

-Tyler Childers

Born in Wyoming and raised in an incredibly musical household, Andy R.G.’s passion for music was cultivated early on, constantly surrounded by a diverse range of genres. He began his musical journey playing his dad’s acoustic guitar before becoming a proficient trumpet player, excelling in both classical and jazz. As he got older, he vacillated between bass and guitar, playing in a variety of bands that covered everything from funk to metal, country, and alternative rock. Ultimately, he found his true voice as a singer and acoustic guitarist, with his bass-playing roots heavily influencing his percussive and rhythmic approach. Currently, he is the frontman for the Seattle-based band Alki Jones, all while pursuing his passion for more intimate, small-venue performances as a solo artist.
